MOBILIZE!

Let's face it folks. We are way past using the model the Founders
designed - the Great Experiment - to right this ship. THEY struggled
for over a decade with increasingly onerous actions by George III.
They're listed in the Declaration of Independence: Link
Many of them are actually applicable to today's condition. Obviously
240 years later there are new and different grievances as well. The
Founders did not want war. But they came to the realization that it was
NOT going to get better via normal, civilized means like complaining to
the powers that be in GB. Their complaints were ignored, or answered
with further offenses.
It has become increasingly apparent that the "Republican Party" is
not just cowardly or greedy for tax cuts. They are all-in with the
coup. The Tea Party movement was probably a Russian recruiting effort.
Renaming it the "Freedom Caucus" is classic propaganda. It is the
frigging anti-freedom, Putin coup caucus! They just voted not to fund
efforts to protect the vote for cripes sake! Most may have been
ignorant of the fact, but it appears they were selected and induced to
enter politics by the master strategists of this 20- year process. They
have not been "turned" recently by kompromat; they were selected
because of it. Now they are in and can't or don't want to get out. IT
IS OVER.
It comes as no surprise to many of us that Trump was told in no
uncertain terms that Putin ordered the cyber attacks and voter
manipulation and continued to pretend it is all a "witch hunt," because
there frigging WAS collusion. That news was no surprise to him. He was
up to his eyeballs in it from the get-go. Why can he bumble along
pretending to be POTUS with the walls closing in? Because he knows the
fix is in. People say "oh, it can't be that bad." Of course they do.
Denial is more than just a river in Egypt. Heck, more people were loyal
to the Crown than were on the side of Washington's ragtag army. But the Press are essential.
We need to not only support and commend "We few, we happy few, we band
of brothers." but also those with right-wing followings who may be
brought to see the light. If we are to avoid what the Founders
eventually found necessary, we need to get all those modern-day "Tory
sympathizers" - those who STILL don't get it , who aren't hard core
MAGAt white supremacists alerted, alarmed, and VOTING. The midterm
election is the one remaining shot at preserving the Great Experiment.
And it is looking shaky, with the pod people running the damned
election.
I have used the analogy of the movie "The Invasion of the Body
Snatchers" repeatedly. That & the movie "V" are both appropriate.
Or Star Wars, with the "Dark Side of the Force." All that sounds
extreme, alarmist, but THESE ARE NOT NORMAL TIMES. The Founders finally
realized existing means to right the ship, to re-establish what they
had felt was a "free society" (white men with property) was not going
to return. What we have lost will not return. We've spent 240 years
trying to "form a more perfect union" committing atrocities like the
Trail of Tears, all of the Indian Wars, slavery, Jim Crow, Native
Family separation along the way. But we HAD gotten better. We WERE
working toward more "liberty and justice for all." Not there for sure -
just ask any POC, any woman, but we were inching forward. WE ARE NO
LONGER!
It is hard to come to grips with the reality that
there ARE lizard people; there IS a "Dark Side of the Force"; there ARE
"pod people." (metaphorical, people! don't call me a lunatic). Read my
articles about White Supremacists. Read what the Founders said about
Tyranny elsewhere in this site.
What is happening is not new. It
is history repeating itself. I am NOT saying it is time for a Lexington
Green. I AM saying we need to get the vast numbers of Americans who
remain oblivious to all this waked up. Most importantly, we need to get
the press truly mobilized. Some few are, and they are heros. Tapper,
Acosta, Maddow, O'Donnell, Navarro, Ryan come to mind. There are plenty
of others. Many unsung, working in small shops, doing what they can
with what they've got. But generally speaking, Corporate Media's agenda
is the quarterly bottom line. It is good that trump thinks they are his
enemy. We need to make sure the good ones know we have their backs,
that we think they are our Woodward and Bernstein. Because they are the
ones who can help us wake up those 100 million who did not bother to
vote. We can canvas, we can demonstrate, we can shout from the
rooftops.
